This is the second Ursa 1300 for our family. The first one I got for my 17-year-old son who spends the majority of his free time camping and hiking where we live in Idaho. After seeing the quality of his, I decided to get my own. I installed it on my new Tacoma using a Cali Raised bed rack (low profile) as I spend 2 to 3 days every week in the backcountry of Idaho in Montana FlyFishing. I used it for the first time just one night this past weekend so I would get to know the ins and outs and functionality and best set up for me. So far so good, however the lack of any manual , instruction, guide, or tips and tricks directly from the manufacturer, made it a little frustrating when I was trying to figure a few things out. I usually resort to YouTube however, the only real system information comes from creators and not the manufacturer itself other than short promotional videos. I did navigate to the library of PDF documents on your website however they are limited for new users. I would highly recommend ramping up informational videos for people like themselves. You can even reach out to people who recently bought them and asked if they were interested in helping you create content. This would be an easy collaborative effort from the manufacturer and the new user who has the data of what would be needed.
I am beyond satisfied with the quality and craftsmanship of this product. Granted the setup instructions on how to set the ladder as a brace for the tent were a little unclear, it didn’t take long to figure out. It’s very roomy and comfortable, and perfect for one, even two people to camp. Looking forward to using this a lot more in the years to come.
My partner and I have spent 3 nights in it so far. We love it so far! It fits perfectly below cab height on our short bed RAM. The mattress was comfortable, and it kept us warm on 40 degree nights. Set up and take down was a breeze. Thanks!

evious issue with a hard shell plastic tent and OVS took care of me. This XD tent is way better and the quality is very good. The aluminum shell is very good and I like that it has the ability for rail attachments. It’s great for me and the wife and we have used it 5 times so far with no issues. Zippers, hardware and material are high quality and I don’t see them breaking down soon. Most all tent mattresses are not very good but this one is at least way more comfortable than all the other ones I’ve had. Put a thick sleeping bag over it and it’s great. We have used the inner insulation attachment in temps of 18F with wind and it does make a big difference however, it’s still pretty cold so we pair this with a LF Bros diesel heater and it’s so hot we have to open the windows. Overall I like OVS because they stand behind their product and I’m very happy with my tent.
My second review. Having kept the RTT on my truck and in the elements for 6 months now, I can say that the elements are kept outside! No Water seeps into the tent when kept in storage. I've had snow, and hurricane winds/rain pound the tent and the interior has been kept dry. This was one of my initial concerns with an RTT!
Picked up the tent in the spring of 2022. As an Eagle Scout and avid outdoorsman who travels between various Airgun events/competitions I have spent 1 or 2 nights sleeping in a tent. I will also say that sleeping on a foam mattress, above the ground with plenty of screens for air to pass through gets a huge thumbs up from me. The look is right, the price is right and the comfort is just right. What else would you want? Thanks for a great product.

Super good deal and amazing to sleep In. I have it on my Tacoma and I can’t even tell it’s up there. Smaller companies are the best to work with because there response time is the best and they are always willing to help you out. I installed the whole by myself on top of the camper no problem. Take advantage of this tent!!!! 100% recommend!!!!
Love how lightweight it is for lifting attaching to my car and how easy it is to set up. I have only used it once, so not sure on how it will hold up, but my kids and I love it so far.
This is a great tent, super lightweight fitstwo adults good, you can even put a 60lbs dog and still comfy. I would recommend this for sure. The buying experience was a piece of cake. Thank inspired overland.

Easy set up and take down for a soft shell tent. I am 6’4 and have plenty of space to spare. The tent cover it comes with is easy to put on when the tent is down, isn’t a hassle to pack away. The negatives are that it does not come with an anti-condensation mat. I dealt with moisture in the tent at temps below 50 degrees at night. The other is the mounting hardware you receive with tent. It is only really compatible with crossbars you would get on your vehicle from the dealership for like a Honda CR-V or something. I have to purchase different hardware so that I could mount it to my platform rack.
