Best Sleep Ever While Camping

Tent not all the way set up in the pic. Hadn’t put in the rain awning supports. Took maybe a minute to unlatch and pop up the way it is.Love:- Mattress comfy for two and cushiony. I’m mid fifties and was quite comfortable.- LED light strip bright and cozy ambience.- Ease of set up and take down. Up and completely set up in about 10 min. Down around 15 min.- Fits bedding and ladder when closed- So dark and quiet accidentally slept in til after 9 am one morning- Awesome shoe bags. Some reviewers on YouTube say there are no hooks but there are loops in plain sight right to the left of the ladder on each side under the rain protector base cover. The bags come with small carabiners and hook right in.Like:- the shape is aerodynamic when closed, very quiet at freeway speeds, like no extra noise really.- tall inside, decent headroom- inside storage flaps are pretty good, could be bigger- deliberately chose rooftop tent on top of Smartcap over pop up style camper shell. Dislike having a base full of gear and junk, refrigerator, power station, dogs etc to clamber over. Going up and down the ladder, getting in and out was such a breeze. Way better truck set up in my opinion.- very nice tidy sleeping and changing space. Did not bring dogs up. Unloaded all the gear in the truck bed and stowed it overnight under a screen tent. Set up cushiony beds for the dogs. Slept in own quiet nest so peacefully. Sometimes I use my backpacking tent as a cargo tent because it’s so easy to set up and take down.Cons:- While easy to take down is frustrating with only one person because after pulling down oneside and running around to pull down the other side, the first side pops back up. Took a bit of practice for an average sized middle aged woman to do alone.- ceiling cargo net is way too loose, sags low with anything in it.- nowhere to stash clothes- the ceiling insulation prevented condensation there, but condensation was heavy everywhere else with the inner panels zipped. Some ventilation is necessary. There’s an Anderson plug on the underside of the tent. I didn’t get around to looking where it comes in. Plugged the LED light strip into a handheld power brick that I also used to charge devices. The devices all fit in the internal storage, but not much else fit.Overall I love this tent. I installed it on four Front Runner load bars that are evenly spaced across the Smartcap roof. It feels very secure, very sturdy to be inside, stayed solidly put over hundreds of miles. The install kit comes with 8 brackets but only enough carriage bolts for four brackets. Picked up 8 more bolts at the hardware store and installed four brackets on each side, on each of the load bars. Probably could move the overall aerodynamic shape and quiet ride to the Love section. Have heard stories of obnoxiously loud campers and rooftop tents.Have some fall camping coming up. Will see how the tent fares in colder weather. It does have a heater/air hose port, which I will use for a diesel heater hose. For the price it’s a really excellent purchase.

Amazing value

Absolutely no regrets this was perfect out of the box. We did add 2 inch mattress pad to it ( I have a bad back ) perfect for me and my wife on the White Rim Trail in Moab Ut.

So far so good!

Quality is top notch. Even YKK zippers! Have not slept in it yet but soon! I am 6'2" and I fit without a problem. Can't beat the price for what you get! I am sure I will be seeing more of these on the trails!

Top quality with a reasonable price tag.

5 stars for initial quality. Flawles construction with no loose stitching. The customer service was also 5 stars. I'm camping this weekend. Unbiased video reviews to follow.
